I wanted to send big thanks to the guys who worked on my car….. Everything is running great. I really haven’t had the chance to open her up to see the difference but next M3 ill see, ill be sure to give you any updates…!!! I was upstate last night driving home with a few friends in their cars, and we were all playing around and let me tell you when I give it full throttle or a good amount, it honestly walks away from most cars out there. Still smooth as ever, I was at 140 with no problem at all, felt like 80..!!

It was really nice to hear that you will replace boot on cv joint. I find in today’s world that nobody wants to fix anything anymore. “just throw it out and get a new one”. Mike... I can't believe how great stage 2 feels.. Sounds crazy but going from stock to stage 1 is not as big as a difference as stage 1 to 2 was imo. The low end power has increased, the throttle response is instantaneous, and almost every gear pulls unbelievably hard. I'm extremely happy with the upgrade. Even funnier, I have been getting better gas mileage as well. Even though I've been beating on it, my mpg has been great. Thanks again!

I do a fair amount of work myself on my car. There are certain things I wouldn't even attempt. Installation of a LSD and a clutch are among them.....Enter TyrolSport (pronounced TEE-ROL)....... Recommendation on the golfmk6 forum.

Its great! Feels awesome. The engagement point is much earlier as I lift on the pedal and the feel is much more solid ,whereas the OEM setup was always clumsy when setting off in first. None of the "chatter" that all the folks on the forum were complaining about….The setup feels really good, which Im excited about because the thing I liked least about my car was the clutch feel (even before it was starting to slip)….it was fun to hang out and see your guys working at the shop. Obviously you have a good group of guys and they enjoy working there.

For the short time I was able to drive the car last night, I was very impressed with the way it moved and handled, even in the rain. The car feels more stable then ever, and the mid-range settings you have the suspension set too feels just right on the NYC roads. The fender rolls look great as well. You guys did some clean work. The ride home was absolutely fantastic! I hope I am not supposed to be babying the engine during break-in, because I did rev it pretty good a few times to see how it was running. I know you told me it will pick up more power after it has had a chance to operate for a while, but it felt pretty damn good already, and better than it has been for a long while! I am really excited to have the car back and healthy again…I was not sure I was ever going to get to drive it again.

When I first got my car, I thought it was just awesome, but I was becoming a bit disappointed in throttle response and acceleration in all of third gear and the upper half of second gear. This has all changed...The software now coupled with the air intake and the full exhaust system is significant. The car feels faster in every gear across the whole powerband. Throttle response is dramatically improved. Torque output must be significant, it literally feels like a different car in 3rd and 4th gear. Anyway, thank you again for the great work and professionalism in your tuning garage. If you ever have a 997 customer who's sitting on the fence on adding some of these mods, please feel free to contact me if you think a basic test drive might sway a customer. I was skeptical that it might be a waste of money, but nothing could be farther from the truth.

I had the alignment done about two weeks ago. I can't tell you the equipment used other than its a laser based race set up that has been updated-adapted for road/regular car use. Mike would have to elaborate on this. I can tell you the alignment was done perfectly in terms of my feel. The allroad steers dead on straight without any pull to left or right. The steering wheel also was positioned dead on at 12:00. (I did not ask for any spec print out as its would be meaningless to me) I've had other alignments done at the dealer and have always had to go back for a pull/push or something else. Mike told me all the specs were adjusted accordingly, he even asked which level on the ar I usually ride on so he can set the alignment specs ride to that level. While the car was up in the air, Tyrolsport e-mailed me digital photos of other items that needed tending to: Sway Bar end links and another torn CV Booth I was not aware of. You can't beat that. Another continually happy customer.

I can't begin to tell you how happy I am about the install today. Not only was it very quick, but it looks and performs with perfection. It is like driving a whole different car. The power is consistent throughout every gear. The buzzing, vibration, and rev hang are ALL GONE. At idle, the cat back is silent, on the parkway, absolutly ZERO drone. The other exhaust I had on sounded like a lawnmower was following me at 2800-3500 rpm. The pulley is great, very noticable difference. The low end power has finally come to life. I'm like 100% happy with the car now. Thanks again for being 100% professional all the time. I love your guys' shop. I'd never take my car anywhere else. From my GIAC software, suspension, sway bars, brakes, 40k service, cold air intake, and now my cat back & pulley install...you guys never let me down.

So a week ago today I had my GTI flashed with GIAC st. 1 at Tyrolsport here in New York City. I've been a 7-year satisfied customer of theirs, so I was confident I could trust them to carefully and thoroughly handle the r/r of the ECU, and the flash. The ride is great so far. Clutch catches nice and low. Very smooth transition between gears. When I shift it just seems tighter more responsive, overall feels a bit sportier. My older Tranny felt a bit more loose when shifting into gear… Overall you guys have done an amazing job and I am super happy with the results thus far. Tyrol Sport FTW

It has in fact reinforced my confidence in your commitment to standing behind your work and to making things right. There is risk inherent in any modification or repair, and we all understand this. While I accept this risk, the risk I will not assume is that of a shop that will throw a customer under a bus should things not go as planned. For this reason and others, I will continue to visit your shop for modifications and repairs, and continue to refer people to you both face-to-face and on the forums. No damage done.
Update:
After two days in a 2010 mkVI at Watkins Glen, I can report to you that this car is incredibly capable. In a field of Corvettes, BMWs, Porsche 911s, Mustangs, Vipers and other assorted goodies (even a Ferrari 360), the GTI was unstoppable. Braking was firm and controlled, and never showed signs of fade, even after 30 minutes of hard (115-50mph) applications (Ferodo pads, Motul fluid, TyrolSport StiffKit.) Dry traction was amazing! I was hitting the "bus stop" chicane at 75-80 mph and forced to slow for 911s and Vipers at the exit, going into turn 5. Speed in the straights was fantastic (GIAC ECU flash/ Audi S3 Intercooler). Bottom line, this is an incredible track car for drivers of any ability level. Big thanks to the team at TyrolSport who prepared the car for this event.

I lowered my wagon on koni fsd and dg auto springs about 3 weeks ago and was beginning to think i didn't need a wheel alignment. (boy was i wrong) 1st( from having owned several dubs before) was finding a good wheel alignment place. several places were good enough for the wife's altima but not good enough for my wagon. i found that a lot of places were not familiar enough with dubs front end and i was always disappointed with the results (until now) i thought about the dealer, but after having a bad taste, about dealer service, i was back to square 1. then someone recommended tyrol sport in queens nyc. i was a lil skeptical cause the shop was in queens and im from brooklyn (its a new york thing) i was so impressed at just arriving. i saw several b5's mk4's audi's and even a mini cooper and lets no forget the 400horse mk4 gti. when it was time for the wagon to go into the shop. the mechanic drove my wagon into the shop (as if it was slammed)with the up most respect for my wheels and suspension.(very hard to find) i couldn't believe i didn't cringe when leaving the car. long story short i cant believe the level of service & quality that these guys deliver. my car wasn't done until it was perfect and the ride home proved it. if i wasn't such a DIY guy, these guys would get all my work. i would rate them as 9.5 out of 10 and thats because the coffee wasn't to par.

Mike and his able, pro crew have transformed my 2004 A4 Avant quattro. I had 77k on it and needed a timing chain, so why not add some fun! The handling package of springs and shocks remade the ride, which is now stable and flat, without breaking teeth on Gotham's roads. The reprogrammed chip seems to have given me 20-30 horses and with no loss of gas mileage. I should have done this years ago. I'll do it again!

TyrolSport in Ridgewood Queens is a great spot to get your work done in the NYC area... Mike, Tom, and supporting cast did my timing belt, tune up, and SMIC... Great prices and even better work... I wanted to tell you that I am impressed with the performance of the SMIC. It was fairly easy to install and the boost feels different, especially after the motor warms up. It pulls a little bit harder. I am running 15 lbs with an APR stage 2 chip and exhaust. When ever it got hot it ran like crap before. Now it stays much more consistent after warm up on a hot day. Thanks again. Good product, I would recommend it to any 1.8T owner.

I was extremely pleased and pleasantly surprised. All the work really improved the car and makes me think what else can be done. The car definitely feels more powerful even in low rpms with all the work. Moreover, there are downsides to all the work. So far I am pleased. I will definitely speak to my friends and of course look into additional mods on car.

Not sure which was to blame, but I picked up 5 to 10 mph (85 to 90) on my exit speeds onto the front straight at LRP. I credit the intercooler :-)
